· Grades from marked homeworks are on the server in file /grades/userid.txt
· Dates of project submission and oral exams:
Early: submit project Wednesday May 28 9:00am, oral exams Friday May 30 9:00am (limit 8 students).
Regular: submit project Monday June 16, 9:00am, oral exams Thursday June 19 and 20 (estimated 9:00am-2:00pm, schedule will be published before exam).
Sign up for one the exam days in AIS before June 16, 9:30am.
Remedial exams will take place in the last week of the exam period. Beware, there will not be much time to prepare a better project. Projects should be submitted as homeworks to /submit/project.
· Cpp homework is due May 15, 9:00am. Use the time to work on projects.

  • During the course, you will have to edit scripts, protocols and other files.
  • Our server has several editors installed.
  • If you can use graphical interface, we recommend kate, which is used similarly as Windows-based editors.
  • If you need to work in a text-only mode (slow connection or no X support):
    • As a simple editor you can use nano (see keyboard shortcuts at the bottom of the screen).
    • More advanced editors include vim, emacs, ne (read tutorials before starting using them).
  • When working from Windows, you can also connect to the server via WinScp and edit the files using WinScp built-in editors or other editors installed on your computer (see Connecting_to_server).
  • When working from Linux, you can mount your home directory using sshfs and again use editors installed on your computer (see Connecting_to_server).
